

At the end of the fifth episode, Riley, who’s been turned into a vampire by the priest who’s planning on doing this to the whole island, rows Erin out in the ocean so that he can self-immolate as the sun rises, and prove to her that what he’s told her is happening is real.

The two have the most meaningful deaths that I’ve seen in horror in a while. But this grim show needs the warmth between Riley and Erin to be as weirdly moving as it was.
